AT SOME TIME IN THE DISTANT PAST THIS PAGE MUST HAVE HAD FICTION LINKS BECAUSE ONE OR TWO OF THEM ARE MENTIONED IN LADY CYRRH'S REVIEW. HOWEVER, ALL OF THE ARCHIVED VERSIONS I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND ARE BROKEN, WITH NO STORY LINKS. AS NOTED ON PAGE 1, I HAVE RECONSTRUCTED THIS PAGE FROM FILES SUPPLIED BY HEPZIBAH, AND HOPEFULY IT'S A REASONABLE APPROXIMATION OF THE ORIGINAL.
--LEEM, JUNE 2012.
The list of stories below is linked to the stories themselves. Click on the story title to view the file. The icons on the right will give you an idea of the primary type of transformation dealt with in the story. Note that some stories have more than one different type of transformation or deal with several different transformations. In such cases, the icon represents the most-often used transformation or the transformation most central to the plot of the story. In some stories, of course, this system doesn't always work... so in those cases, I have used the "other" icon.
If any information (such as author name, title, or editorial errors within the stories) is incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible so I can rectify them. Thank you!
This page's Question:
Q: "Why are the updates to your page so few and far between? And why do you have so few 'new' stories on your Fiction Archives? Every story on your page is on someone else's, too!"
A: Well, not to sound like I'm throwing out excuses with the first part of that question, but keeping a page updated is hard. Writing HTML in itself is a tedious (although not necessarily difficult) chore, and the constant uploading and checking of links can drain you when you're uploading, checking, and saving several pages a week. I try to space my time out as much as possible so I have time to do other things I enjoy, most notably writing and artwork. And then again, a lot of times, the real world gets in the way. Sometimes I work 60 hours a week, and while I have some online time at work, I don't have nearly the degree of freedom I have at home.
As far as the second part, it's no secret that ASFR does a lot of story-swapping. For one thing, a lot of the stories are posted to the Newsgroup, where people pluck them up and put them on their pages for everyone to enjoy who doesn't necessarily hit the Newsgroup. Then again, the writers of the stories themselves will submit their stories to three or four different sites, just so everyone will get a chance to lok them over. I myself regularly get stories in my e-mail that are addressed to a couple other people as well, so it's only natural. And truthfully, there just aren't as many fiction stories that go up as pictures here lately. Blame the lull on a crop of wonderful pictures on the newsgroup or just a writer's block virus, but there you are. Hope that helps.
